TGIF, my friends! Holy Moly, this week has kicked my butt (and apparently my baby girl’s too!). Some weeks, I rock it and some weeks, I’m in survival mode. This week was survival mode. I wasn’t all that productive, I took two naps and I went to Starbucks three times so you know it was a rough one! That time change last week really threw us all off and I’m looking forward to some down time and rest this weekend!
As always, I’m linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea to bring you my favorites from the week. And if I’m being totally honest, I had to work at it a bit this week to come up with a list. Between being exhausted and overscheduled this week and dealing with this cold, crappy weather we’re having, I haven’t been feeling very positive. #okayenoughcomplaining #bringonspring
Last weekend I went to a fundraiser and we turned it into a girls’ night out. It was fun to break out of my leggings and get gussied up for a change. I was also pretty happy I had a pre-kid dress in the closet that fit! #momprom
Despite the cold, snowy weather we’ve been having, I’m thinking spring and I’m loving these new pink sneakers I picked up at Target recently! I can’t wait for the snow to melt so I can actually wear them!
Old Navy is also killing it this spring. I’ve been stocking up on stuff for the kids recently with all of the good sales they’ve been having and also picked up this dress for myself. It’s perfect for summer!
I also made a surprisingly yummy dinner on taco night this week. I cooked up some cauli-rice and sweet potato ribbons with some onion and cumin and seasoned it with salt and pepper. Then I added a bag of baby kale and some leftover black beans that I had in the fridge. I added the juice of 1/2 a lime and mixed it all up.
Then I topped it off with some taco meat, salsa and Primal Kitchen Chipotle Lime Mayo. I would have added guacamole too if I had some on hand. My husband and I ate this while the kids ate tacos and I was pretty pleased with myself for sneaking in so many veggies!
I’ve also been working on Easter baskets this week.
I picked up these goodies for my baby girl.
And these goodies for my little guy. I’m planning on also throwing in a Rubik’s cube for him. I also like to add bathing suits and beach towels to the baskets. I found the totes in the dollar spot at Target. They’re perfect because I always buy too much stuff to fit in their baskets! It’s like Christmas stockings, I just love buying little goodies for them like this!
Well that’s all I’ve got for today. I hope you have a great weekend! I’m facing another birthday this weekend. I’m not so sure how I feel about being another year older but I am looking forward to having an excuse for a day of being pampered! I’m hoping lunch out, maybe a nap and a day without laundry is in my future!
