Happy Friday, friends! Is it just me or has it been the longest week ever? We had such a great Halloween but that late night threw us off all week!! Lots of crankiness in this house! #andimnotjusttalkingaboutthekids On the plus side, we all seem to be on the mend from the nasty cold virus that went through the house!
As always, I’m linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci to share my favorites from the week.
The little ones dressed up as Ash (Pikachu’s trainer for you Pokemon novices) and Pikachu for Halloween this year, and it turned out great! I was pretty pleased with my DIY Ash costume and thought I had the cutest little Pikachu (or Chew-tow, as my little one says) there ever was!
I found the hat on Amazon and made the vest. I picked up a blue hoodie at Walmart, cut off the arms and used yellow duck tape to make the trim. I just added a white shirt, grey pants, high tops, and fingerless gloves, which my little guy already had. So easy and the entire costume cost me around $10! #score
And now that Halloween is over, I have all the heart eyes for Christmas! I’m usually all “respect the bird” but I definitely have Christmas fever this year. I’ll hold off on decorating until Thanksgiving weekend but I have already started my Christmas shopping.
I popped into Target on Wednesday and they already had so many cute things out!! Is it weird that I’m dreaming of an evening when I can go by myself and just stroll through the aisles and look at everything? #ifonlytheysoldwinebytheglass
I also started my Christmas shopping for the kids and loved this shark fin blanket for my little guy, who is absolutely obsessed with sharks! So cute!!
And one last favorite…my loves. Remember those family pictures I mentioned a few weeks back that were so stressful? Well we got the pictures back and OMG! The photographer worked her magic and got some amazing shots!
These two kiddos…there is so much love between them. SO much. Yes, big brother likes to tease his little sister and sometimes he plays a little too rough. Yes, I know we have years of conflict, squabbling and tattling between the two of them but this picture right here? This captures the pure love between them. My little guy is so amazing with her. After being an only child for five years, he welcomed her into the mix with open arms. He dotes on her like you wouldn’t believe. He plays with her. He helps out with her (sometimes a little too much!). And she idolizes him. I’m so grateful to have these pictures to capture where they are right now and know that I’ll treasure them forever.
That’s all I’ve got for today. I hope you have a great weekend!
