Happy Friday, friends! After the long winter break and three snow days, my little guy is back to school and we are back to our regular routine around here. While I don’t love getting up earlier, I do love how much more I’m able to accomplish in the mornings now. We’ve had a fun filled week, celebrating our little girl’s second birthday, but I’m ready for the weekend! And a long weekend at that!!
As always, I’m linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci to share my favorites from the week.
On Wednesday, we celebrated our little one turning two. It was a pretty low key birthday (weekdays are hard) but we had a nice dinner out and this one was pretty excited about her bowl of ice cream.
She got some really cute gifts too that she has been loving, including this little coffee pot. She (and her brother!) love it and I love that it’s fairly small and easily fits in with her kitchen set. Let me tell you, I’ve had a lot of pretend cups of coffee this week! I highly recommend it!
This ice cream cart is another hit. It’s cute to play with but also interactive. It teaches colors and counting and instructs you to make different patterns for the cones (which is a little over her head but she’ll like down the road). Her seven year old brother loves it too and I have to admit, I really enjoy playing with it with her. I picked it up back in November at Costco for a steal but it’s also available here.
Speaking of toy, my little guy is loving this Osmo Creative Set (that I randomly found in the Target toy section on clearance for $20!). It’s really cool and I love that it makes “screen time” a little more creative and educational. I have to admit, the games are pretty fun on it! I might look at something else to add for Valentine’s Day.
The weather has warmed up some and my jeans are fitting me a little more comfortably (thanks to my Whole30-read here for an update) so I actually broke out of my leggings and hoodies this week. I love pulling out old scarves to wear with something different, like this one that I bought two years ago.
I was also so happy to be able to wear a jacket instead of a parka this week, with yet another old scarf.
One of my favorite Christmas gifts my little guy got from my parents for Christmas were these thank you cards. My mom had them made out of his artwork from school and I thought it was such a cute idea! Especially since she used a Thanksgiving picture! She had them made on Artsonia.
And perhaps my favorite thing from the week: this picture that my little guy drew at school this week. For those of you who don’t know, we lost our boxer in November and this is a picture of her being walked by an angel in heaven.

That’s all I’ve got for today. I hope you all have a fabulous long weekend!!
